insurance and medical emergencies

As mentioned previously, most Aaiyyanist go to the clients home to practise, but some set up healing/Siddhic centres within their own homes. Whatever method is chosen, it is always prudent for the Aaiyyanists (and their students/staff/other members) to establish, proper procedures for dealing with any medical or non-medical emergency occurring on their premises or their client's premises. Depending on the country/region that you practise, one should follow all laws and comply with all health and safety recommendations.

A professional Aaiyyanist should have these in place:

  • Have an insurance policy that is up-to-date and that states provisions for public liability, professional indemnity and any employee liability (if you have employees). The policy should also have provisions for teaching, as well as mentoring students who work with any clients.
  • If an Aaiyyanist practises from their home, they should always inform their household/home insurers, to ensure adequate cover for their clients, themselves, other staff members and any students.
