The Aaiyyanist community pride ourselves on being non-sectarian and non-egotistical. However, there have been very rare instances where disagreements in the community arise. The main point to understand is that compromise and understanding are key - not winning a perceived battle. Most Aaiyyanists understand this implicitly, but newer members may still have a conception of ego and implementing their ego-will.
We have found that there is seven pronged strategy (keys) in dealing with any disputes. The first is speech, i.e. both parties will talk to each other to find out the root of the issue. The second is meditation, where both parties will meditate together to clear their mind and enter into a state where empathy of the other and all is key. The third is inscription, where both parties will perform the process of inscribing the oneness symbols (a set of 12 symbolic scripts that bind two soul-forms together) - both parties must inscribe until they are both satisfied that their personal inscriptions match the other.
The forth key is speech in the presence of an Aaiyyanist mediator (who is usually a high level Aaiyyanist such as a Guru or Aaiyyani level practitioner.). The purpose of this meeting is that the neutral experienced Aaiyyanist can arbitrate between a dispute and find the spiritual cause of the matter. Most disputes are solved at this stage, however if there is still spiritual pollution causing disharmony between adherents, then there are three more keys that can be unlocked.
The fifth and sixth keys are meditation and inscription in the presence of an Aaiyyani high level Aaiyyanist. The purpose of which is to unlock the gateways: of Lokas, the soul-form, the channels to Brahman and to ultimately touch the destructive forces of Shiva . This destructive force obliterates the ego-self and sows the foundation of oneness between all parties. If this stage fails (and it rarely has) there is one final stage of arbitration. Both parties will meet in the Hidden Shiva temple of Aaiyyan (Iyalvuian) or the Aaiyyan Akattuyyan/Chamber where the Aaiyyanist Council will discuss/mediate/meditate on the matter in the presence of the Highest Aaiyyanists.
Note: keys five and six have only be used a handful of times in the last century. The last time the seventh key was used to resolve a dispute was over seven hundred years ago in 1263 AD (Gregorian calendar) (or 101,423 years in the Aaiyyanist Ummaiyan calendar), so is a very rare event indeed. The forth key usually resolves all disputes, but most Aaiyyanists resolve issues after the first and second keys have been unlocked.
