Kattuukkamaal - The science of restraint

As part of the Kaaryakartaa-Abhichaara Tantric tradition, when one performs the Nirampetian ritual (not the Odikamuyyan ritual) it has been traditional for the Assinayyanal to be restricted in movement. This is not for mainstream Tantric practitioners but those of the Agra and Antaraa Kaaryakartaa castes (i.e High and Middle Aaiyyanist level practitioners).

This ritual was formulated after Guru Hotriya Upadhyaya and one of her disciples (Vinayaanian) was having trouble attaining resonance with the Nirampetian Tala space. As the Dravidian Aaiyyanist followers of Guru Hotriya Upadhyaya became more attuned to the Nirampetian Tala they found that some Aaiyyanists were not totally in control or resonant with the many powerful Tala dimensions, and would move vigorously as the ritual was performed and could not achieve the stillness of mind and body required to absorb these powerful energy signatures. Remember the Nirampetian Tala is a gateway to all Talas.

These initiates to the Kaaryakartaa-Abhichaara School who were unresonant would basically become tumultuous in their spirit and mind and thus disrupt the resonance between the practitioner (the Atankuyanal), themselves (the Assinayyanal), the Nirampetian Tala and the many Tala dimensions.

Thus during the lifetime of Guru Hotriya Upadhyaya and several generations after Guru passed on, the Kaaryakartaa-Abhichaara School honed and refined the techniques (Kattuukkamaal) needed to prevent this tumultuous movement in the Assinayyanal. Basically the physical movement of the Assinayyanal could disrupt the spiritual resonance of the ritual. The details of this are given below.

Details of the Kattuukkamaal Methodology

It was found that certain Aaiyyanists were not fully attuned to the Nirampetian Tala. This would make them move rigorously during the Nirampetian ritual and disrupt the resonance. The stillness of body, mind and spirit would be broken and it would be more difficult for the Assinayyanal to achieve resonance. The premise of Kattuukkamaal is that due to powerful energies in the Nirampetian Tala the newly initiated adept Aaiyyanist may be vigorously moved during the Nirampetian ritual such that they do not reach the required resonance to absorb the energy or may take many years to achieve resonance. The Assinayyanal's motion may be counter or anti resonant with the Nirampetian Tala as the subconscious mind may make the Aaiyyanist inadvertently protect themselves from Talic space. It is like putting you hand in a flame, you instinctively pull it back.

This ritual is mainly performed by Tantric Aaiyyanists trying to achieve resonance with the Nirampetian Tala, rather than the Odikamuyyan Loka. It was found that the human body is more absorbing of the Loka space and spiritually we are very attuned to it - so it was found that restraint was hardly necessary (unless the practitioner was very aligned with Talas). Many humans due to their upbringing and other spiritual, physical and mental constraints they are not attuned to the Nirampetian Tala and thus this restraint techniques is very beneficial, but remember for it to work it must be consensual and if you are attuned to this method in this life and your previous ones then you will be naturally consensual.

So if the Assinayyanal is not resonant, it was decided that if the Assinayyanal were prevented from motion during the ritual they would likely become more attuned as the ritual took place. Thus the Guru and her followers and the subsequent generations of the Kaaryakartaa-Abhichaara School formulated a series of methods of restraint to stop the movement of the Assinayyanal while the Atankuyanal performed the ritual. In some cases this restraining became part and parcel of the Nirampetian ritual and people who took several lifetimes to achieve resonance such as people reading this now - they will feel attuned to this methodology.

The Kattuukkamaal Methodology is as follows. The Atankuyanal performs the Nirampetian ritual on the Assinayyanal in the usual manner. However, while the ritual is taking place the Assinayyanal is bound (either by rope or silk) in the manner given below. If you look at the figure below there are several traditional methods of restraint used.

If there were only two people when you can use silk or rope to restrain the Assinayyanal as in the diagram.

There are a couple of Dravidian Aaiyyanist rope techniques that were used in historically to restrain the Assinayyanal and these are shown below:

If there were more than two Aaiyyanists (for example in a Tantric Sex Ritual in a Temple setting) then you can use the surplus Atankuyanal's to restrain the Assinayyanal. See figures below.

Multiple members taking part in the Nirampetian and Odikamuyyan Rituals is given in the Numbers section.

Remember this restrain is consensual not by force as is the Aaiyyanists way.
